In addition to teaching his five middle school choir classes, Mr. Truby is involved in a number of co-curricular activities, including coaching the middle school swim and high school volleyball teams. He is also a team facilitator for the middle school student ambassadors program. What commitment to the community! Mr. Truby is also an Ed.D. student at Bethel University studying Educational Leadership and Administration."

Meeting Freija and Rozenberga has not only made Riga seem more homey, it has been a reminder that their time spent as Blugolds extends far beyond the city limits of Eau Claire. The three now see each other often, exploring Latvia and catching Green Bay Packers games when possible."

He also set up a website, www.beloitchorale.org, and is active on Facebook and Instagram. Once Truby gets his feet back on American soil, he will be doing presentations and hosting meet and greet events so people can learn more about Beloit Chorale."

"The new choir is a mix of choral students and students with disabilities. Since the formation of Knights Choir this year the students with disabilities are displaying increased self-confidence and improved behavior...the choir has been a great way to merge the two groups of students together."

"The name of the Beloit Memorial production is inspired by the 1947 movie Miracle on 34th Street that revolves around the famous holiday parade sponsored by Macy’s department store headquartered on 34th Street in New York City.
Top performers from the choir, orchestra, band and theatre programs Memorial’s Miracle, Truby says, is a collaborative production featuring top performers from the choir, orchestra, band and theatre programs. Also participating are student artists. “It is something of a variety show,” he says, “featuring sounds of the winter season with bold lighting, song selections, a theatre element and opportunities for soloists and small group ensembles."
